Decision-making

Decisions about the future of the project are made by the Project leader, with the help of maintainers, by establishing the roadmap and expected milestones.

The project leader and maintainers propose new features. Other community members are allowed to propose new features through the issues management system, but they have to be approved by the maintainers, by including them as part of a release (or corresponding milestone).

Other decisions made by the project leader:

  • Establish release plan: timetable and actions for a release

  • Product release: accept the release is an official release

  • Adoption of new codebase: change the codebase for an existing or released product

  • New maintainer and maintainer removal

  • Close proposed merge requests
